Battello Wedding Floral Design: Wow! Moments

Making a big statement with flowers can be the cornerstone of the most lasting impression on your wedding day. A large floral installation like the one you see here from a Battello wedding is such an impressive feature and unlike what most of your guests have experienced before.

As floral designers in New Jersey, we have worked in a number of event spaces in and around the Hudson River.  Battello has a large open light filled space filled with windows to the outdoors. There is easy access to step outside for photos with your family or to simply enjoy a cocktail. Designing wedding flowers at Battello is always a fun experience and one we enjoy. 

After having designed countless wedding floral concepts, this had to have been a favorite. We collaborated with Twigs Flowers + Tea wedding flowers at Battello in Jersey City, New Jersey. The couple had a specific vision to incorporate foraged florals, dried elements and fresh flowers as part of the design. We helped design a large floral chandelier over the dance floor as the main attraction. Helping to bring guests onto the dance floor as well as make a statement was the couple’s goal!

Several weeks of planning went into the design + construction of this piece. Sourcing the materials for the armature to hold the flowers, calculating the amount of florals & foliage, and creating the structure and figuring out a way to hang it on the ceiling were all part of the process.  Renting equipment to use as a platform that raised and lowered in height was needed on site. The incorporation of plants, blooming branches and moss added a volume of texture to add to the drama.
